Lee M. Maisel, DMD MAGD
Dr. Maisel is a native of Westfield and a graduate of Westfield High school. He received a BS from the University of Maryland and a DMD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers). At graduation from Dental School, Dr. Maisel received the Periodontal Department Honors award for his undergraduate work studying gum disease. In 2006 - after completing extensive continuing education requirements – he reached the Mastership level of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Maisel has post-graduate training in endodontics, oral surgery, and implants so that his patients can benefit from having these procedures done in one place with the same doctor for both efficiency and convenience. He also has extensive experience with the newest full-mouth implant treatment that allows a patient to have fixed rather than removable dentistry (dentures) when all their teeth are lost.
Dr. Maisel continued his training after dental school with a general practice residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center (affiliated with Rutgers Medical School), where he had the great advantage of learning from many of the top specialists in our area. He travels monthly for the University of Minnesota Dental Continuum for advanced training and was their 2015 valedictorian. He is married and the father of 2 daughters. His interests, aside from dentistry, include skiing, golfing, running, and tennis. He has completed several triathlons. He and his family live in Scotch Plains and for many years he has been active in community organizations and local sports teams.
Dr. Maisel combines the latest dental treatment with a warm, caring, and personal attitude that has earned him the affection of many loyal patients.
